Root Dome, Eden Project

PROJECT CASE STUDY

Invisible Worlds is a major new permanent exhibition that reveals the world beyond our senses: too big, too small, too fast, too slow, too far away in space and time.

The Root Dome is made from radius bent reinforcing bar with fabric-formed concrete and is about soil and mycorrhizal fungi that connect plant roots together in a giant underground communications network. Each panel was precast and formed on site. It is part of the new permanent Invisible Worlds exhibition at The Eden Project.
